- Distribution of malware, ransomware, or other malicious software
- Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
- Spam or unsolicited bulk communications
- Infringement of intellectual property rights
- Any other use that contravenes UK law or Nominet’s policies
How to Report
Abuse reports should be sent by email to the address listed on our Contact page. Please include the following information to help us investigate:
- The domain name in question
- A clear description of the abusive activity
- Any supporting evidence, such as URLs, screenshots, or email headers
- Your contact details in case we need to follow up
Response Process
All abuse reports are reviewed promptly and handled in line with Nominet’s policies and applicable UK legislation. Reports are acknowledged without unnecessary delay, typically within one working day.
Where abuse is confirmed, appropriate action will be taken, which may include contacting the registrant, suspending the domain, or reporting the matter to relevant authorities. We may not be able to share the full details of any action taken due to confidentiality or legal constraints.
