Terms & Conditions for .uk Domains
Registration
When registering a .uk domain through Sherby Domains, the registration is completed directly with Nominet, the official registry for .uk domain names. Sherby Domains acts as the registrar and administrative contact.
The domain name is registered in the customer’s name, not in the name of Sherby Domains. Customers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided at the time of registration.
Domain registrations provide the right to use the domain name for the registration period only. Continued use requires timely renewal. Failure to renew may result in the domain entering a suspension period and ultimately becoming available to third parties.
Pricing
The standard annual registration and renewal fee for .uk domain names is £10. This fee is subject to change, and customers will be notified in advance of any price adjustments.
Sherby Domains does not charge fees for transferring domains to another registrar.
Renewals
Customers are responsible for ensuring that domain names are renewed before expiry. Renewal reminders are issued where applicable in advance of the expiry date, typically at 30 days and 7 days before expiration.
Sherby Domains makes reasonable efforts to send renewal reminders but cannot guarantee delivery. Customers should maintain accurate contact details to ensure they receive notifications.
Transfers
Customers may transfer their domain to another registrar at any time, subject to Nominet’s transfer policies. There is no fee for outbound transfers. Customers may also transfer existing .uk domains to Sherby Domains from another registrar at no charge.
Acceptable Use
Domain names registered through Sherby Domains must not be used for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to phishing, distribution of malware, fraud, or infringement of intellectual property rights. Sherby Domains reserves the right to suspend services where a domain is found to be in breach of these conditions or Nominet’s policies.
Limitation of Liability
Sherby Domains shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the failure to renew a domain, interruptions to domain services caused by third parties, or actions taken by Nominet in accordance with their policies. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the domain registration in question.
Disputes
Complaints and disputes relating to .uk domain registrations are handled in accordance with Nominet’s Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) policies and procedures. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
